SYLLABUS
There are 25 papers in GATE. Syllabus for each Paper is different. Candidates have to select any one paper out of 25 papers. GATE 2020 will be conducted by IIT Delhi. IIT Delhi will release the syllabus for each of the papers at the official website of GATE i.e. gate.iit.ac.in. There are three sections in AE, AG, BT, CE, CH, CS, EC, EE, IN, ME, MN, MT, PE, PI, TF, XE and BM Papers namely General Aptitude, Engineering Mathematics and specific subject opted by the candidate. And in AR, CY, EY, GG, MA, PH and XL Papers there are two sections, these are General Aptitude and specific subject opted by the candidate.
General aptitude is the compulsory section. Syllabus of General Aptitude covers topics from Verbal Ability and Numerical Ability. This section holds 15% weightage. Verbal Ability covers topics from English language and Reasoning. Numerical Ability is based on questions to test the basic mathematical skills of the candidates.
